Child Labor

I Learned that children as young as seven years of age had to work as doffers.

The mill girl were as young as thirteen to sixteen years of age.

I know I always complain about doing chores,but I never lost a limb doing them.

I feel so bad for those little children too.

They had to work and work sun up to sun down,just to put food on the table.

I would never want to have kids,just to see them suffer all of their lives,and never get a good memorable childhood.

You should be happy that you get a good education.Even though you don’t want to go to school most of the time ,be glad that you get to.

Even after all that ended,there are still children in places like China,that are still making children work.

So just be glad that you live in a place like Texas because if you didn’t,you could be having your fingers cut off by a terrible machine.
