Are These Invasives

 Do you like swimming,fishing, and riding boats? If so you might want to hear this. There have have been invasive species going from lake to lake and they need to be stopped. Turbines in the water and giving hormones to weevils are two solutions that will guarantee aquatic plants to have a positive effect on our East Texas ecosystem.

 

I think that the  U.S. spends way too much money on the invasive species and they should spend it on other problems. The problem is the invasive species taking over lakes  in East Texas and we have tried many ways to get rid of them but won’t work.The TPWD and other teams have been trying new ways like,weevils, sprays, and fences bet they are not working.

 

I think fans in the water are a good idea. They move the water around and invasive species can’t live in moving water. It may be hard to get the fans in the  water you would have to get a scuba diver to do it. Boats may run over the fans. It may be costly.

 

My second solution is  giving hormones to weevils. This has already been thought of but not tested. I think this will work  because they would be able to eat more of the invasive species. But they might be scary and not eat the invasive species.

That is how invasive species have been taking over lakes one by one and why we need to stop them. I think that soon we will be able to get rid of them
